Prof. William Oduro is a Professor in Wildlife Biology and Ecology at the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources (FRNR), College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. During his academic career he has published 102 papers in 23 peer reviewed journals, authored or edited 6 books, 4 book chapters, 18 abstracts in proceedings, 5 periodicals, 51 technical reports, one international public exhibition, 3 video documentaries, and 31 other publications. He was the former Head of Department, Director of IRNR, Dean of FRNR and Dean of the International Programmes Office of KNUST. William has served in various capacities at the university, national and international levels. Prof. Oduro has extensive professional experience and travelled in 14 African countries and 18 other countries outside Africa. He has coordinated several external funded projects from GEF/UNDP, Canadian Development Agency (CIDA/DFTAD), GEF/UNU/INRA, The Netherlands Directorate-General for International Cooperation, UNEP, World Bank, UNESCO, ICHA, AAU/DFID, DANIDA and CFLI-GH (Canada Fund for Local Initiatives). William was a member of the KNUST Strategic Planning Committee PLAN2K14, and represented KNUST on the Scholarship Review Committee, Scholarship Secretariat, Accra. He is currently Chairman of the Finance Committee of the SCC Worship Complex KNUST. He is on several other Institutional Boards that include AROCHA International Ghana, Biodiversity-National Steering Committee and the UNESCO-MAB Sub-Committee.
